Okay, it is Monday again. The weekend just flew by yet again. Saturday I did a brick for my Beaver Lake Triathlon training.
I sweaty me after the bike. Lookin’ good. Ha! I went on to do my run, got all cleaned up and headed out for a night on the town. Well, nothing tooo extravagant, but the fam went to a local bar to watch friend of the fam’s band play. They were pretty good! At one point, I was grabbed by my mom to dance. I typically DO NOT DANCE. Let me be clear, it doesn’t happen probably because my skills in that area are pretty low. But hey, after a few beers things change.
Isn’t Kasa the cutest?! Yes.
The fam + two dogs headed to Lake Tapps for some R&R and an open water swim! My mom and the weather decided it would be a perfect day to do a swim. My step dad followed up in the canoe while we swam.
I followed up with a delightful Banana Nut Quest Bar. I put it in the freezer for a minute, because it started to get too soft in the heat. On a warm day, I was craving something cool.
Have you read “The Art of Racing in the Rain?” I just started it today and my mom highly recommended it. Plus, the author is from Seattle. Thumbs up for a local author! So far, I am enjoying it. I’ll be sure to share my thoughts of the novel once I finish it.
I hit the gym once we got home, restocked my Quest Bars supply and made a refreshing Skinny Chunky Monkey Shake but used water instead of almond milk and tried out FitNutz.
My Skinny Chunky Monkey Shake tasted great with the new PB powder. I can’t wait to try it in other recipes!
That reminds me, I have some new recipes for you to try. I’ll be back later to share! If you follow me on Instagram, then you have seen them already!
What did you do over the weekend?
Do you like powdered peanut butter?
XO, Tara
